Position Overview
The Legal Noticing Specialist will support the Director of Legal Notice by assisting with and managing all aspects of Class Action Fairness Act (CAFA) noticing. This role offers an excellent introduction to both the sales and legal noticing teams, providing hands-on exposure to the legal requirements associated with the administration of class action settlements.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and possesses strong writing and communication skills. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all notice-related processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with and eventually manage Class Action Fairness Act (CAFA) mailings
- Draft CAFA notices and declarations using templates
- Review documents, create mailing lists, and generate class member reports
- Coordinate with Mailings Teams to ensure all CAFA mailings are processed accurately and on time
- Partner with Accounting to ensure timely and accurate billing for CAFA mailings
- Collaborate with Client Services teams to obtain statistics and opt-out counts for declarations
- Draft, review, and proofread declarations and notices for court filings
- Review online court dockets related to declarations and CAFA mailings
- Analyze objections related to notices or other responsibilities
- Manage timelines, calendars, and CAFA tracking logs
- Support client and sales team requests, including notice planning and activity projections
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification preferred (or equivalent experience in class action legal notice and administration)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading ability
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of tasks and processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with class action administration and CAFA processes
Pay Details
$25.00 to $30.00 per hour.
