Job Summary

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking Pharmacy Technicians for a remote, 6-month contract role in Minnesota. All necessary equipment will be provided. Residency within Minnesota is required for consideration.

Job Details

  • Type: 6-month contract, with potential for extension or full-time conversion
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, shifts available between 5 AM and 12 AM CST
  • Pay: $19.00 - $21.42 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Prior Authorization Requests: Handle inbound calls (50-70 daily) and electronic inquiries regarding prior authorizations (PAs). Provide professional, empathetic customer service, accurately capturing and verifying information.
  • Process & Review Authorizations: Process PA requests using multiple systems. Evaluate against clinical criteria, formulary, and benefits to determine coverage eligibility and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Support Operations: Assist pharmacists by gathering and summarizing member clinical data for consultations and coverage decisions. Ensure clear communication and seamless handoffs.
  • Compliance & Accuracy: Adhere to all company policies, regulatory requirements (CMS, URAC), and quality standards. Maintain real-time updates of records, audit trails, and member accounts.
  • Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve issues related to coverage, benefits, or PA delays. Escalate complex cases while maintaining a member-first approach.
  • Data Entry & Workflow: Maintain high attention to detail in data entry. Prioritize workload based on urgency and SLAs.
  • Communication: Professionally interact with healthcare providers, pharmacies, members, and internal teams to facilitate medication access and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Patient Safety: Uphold patient safety and quality of work. Report any compromises to workspace safety (equipment, systems, information) to leadership.
  • Culture of Safety: Promote an equitable, transparent, and engaging safety culture for patients, caregivers, and the workforce.
  • Workforce Well-being: Enhance workforce safety and well-being.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Active National (PTCB) and/or Minnesota State Board of Pharmacy Technician Licensure.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in customer service, particularly with healthcare professionals.
  • Flexibility to work shifts between 5 AM and 12 AM CST, including potential overtime and weekends.
  • Must reside within Minnesota.

Pay Details: $19.00 to $21.42 per hour
