Job description

The People team helps Affirmers cultivate a high-performing, inclusive organization. We focus on three core areas: attracting talent aligned to our mission, enabling growth through people and team development, and retaining employees through thoughtful experiences and rewards. We develop Affirm's people programs and systems to create a workplace where all employees can thrive and contribute meaningfully. By investing in our people, we create a long-term advantage for the business.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically sound Compensation Lead to own the end-to-end management of our compensation systems. You will be responsible for ensuring systems like Radford (survey reporting) and Pave (cycle management) are set up to support Affirm's policies, procedures, and employees. In this role, you will play a key role in the day-to-day compensation operations and ensuring our programs are effective and competitive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end administration of our semiannual compensation processes.
  • Develop and participate in all components of our annual compensation studies to evaluate Affirm's competitive market positioning, including: auditing roles (responsibilities, activities, duties, and requirements), leading our benchmarking survey submission/review process, and evaluating/recommending updates to our cash and equity compensation structures/ranges.
  • Conduct special projects for ad hoc compensation analyses across a variety of areas, including incentive compensation, equity programs, and pay equity analyses.
  • Own the pay reporting process for the various geographies Affirm supports.
  • Assist with compensation training and communications.

Benefits

  • Compensation: We have a simple, flexible, and transparent remote-first compensation structure.
  • Spending Wallets: Access tech, food, lifestyle, and family planning wallets for your expenses.
  • Supportive Communities: Get involved with our employee resource groups and community groups.
  • Remote-first Workforce: If your role is remote, you can set up shop anywhere in your home country.
  • Generous Time Off: Take the time you need when life happens.
  • Health Benefits: Get a plan that fits your needs.
  • Mental Healthcare: Take care of your mind with great mental health programs.
  • Parental Leave: Birth and non-birth parents get 18 weeks' paid leave, plus a 4-week return-to-work transition program at full base pay.
  • Away Days: We offer 20 company-wide paid days off to help our teams collectively pause to recharge.
  • Learning & Development: Engage in exciting learning programs to level up your growth.
