Ag Territory Relationship Manager

Midwest Region (IL, Eastern IA, Eastern MO, Southern WI)

(Regional ag lending role, from a home office)

We've partnered with a team of seasoned agricultural, finance, and technology experts to revolutionize farm operating loans. This team offers crop operating loans nationwide, basing loans on the ability to produce a successful crop rather than just land value.

The Role

Our client is seeking dedicated, high-performing professionals to join their expanding sales team. This fully employed, boots-on-the-ground position is responsible for originating and renewing agriculture-based loans within an assigned territory.

This is a home-office-based, revenue-generating position that requires a self-starter. The primary goal is to develop and maintain grower relationships to increase the adoption of our client's lending solutions.

Responsibilities

Sales and Relationship Management

  • Develop and execute sales plans to optimize growth, aligning with marketing strategies.
  • Identify potential customers within a defined geographical region and utilize the company's CRM system to manage customer profiles and build relationships.
  • Clearly communicate the value proposition of our client's financing solutions using a consultative selling approach.
  • Actively network with high-value businesses and establish/maintain third-party relationships.
  • Work with leadership to support the quality and accuracy of revenue forecasting, tracking, and reporting.

Credit and Loan Servicing

  • Collect financial information and assist the credit department in assessing creditworthiness and identifying credit risk.
  • Support the servicing of loan portfolios to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Provide guidance to borrowers, including assistance with advance scheduling.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Relationship Building: Proven ability to build trust and rapport with prospective customers.
  • Consultative Sales Expertise: Demonstrated successful track record in customer development and needs analysis.
  • Agricultural Finance Acumen: Familiarity with commodity hedging programs and basic farm financial management.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated skills in general business software and CRM systems.
  • Lending Understanding: Aptitude in understanding key underwriting ratios used in agricultural lending.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year institution, preferably in agriculture or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in direct-to-farm agricultural sales or business development.
  • Minimum of 4 years of agricultural lending or equivalent.
