About The Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Back-End Developer to join our dynamic team at GrabJobs. This fully remote position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your contributions directly impact our platform's performance and scalability. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Python programming, particularly with the Django framework, and have proven experience in developing robust back-end solutions. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance APIs and back-end systems, collaborating closely with front-end developers and other stakeholders to deliver seamless integrations and functionalities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Back-End Developer, with a focus on Python and Django frameworks.
• Deep understanding of RESTful API design, development, and best practices.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and experience managing databases effectively.
• Experience optimizing applications for high traffic, performance, and scalability.
• Familiarity with integrating third-party services such as Microsoft 365, Exchange Servers, Google Calendar, and HubSpot.
• Comfortable working within a Linux development environment.
• Hands-on experience with containerization tools like Docker.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and work collaboratively in a remote team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable back-end applications using Python and Django, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
• Design, develop, and implement RESTful APIs capable of handling several hundred requests per minute.
• Integrate our platform with various external systems, including Microsoft 365, Exchange Servers, Google Calendar, HubSpot, and other third-party services.
• Optimize application performance and scalability to support growing user demands and traffic.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and functionality across the platform.
• Utilize SQL for data management, including designing schemas, writing queries, and managing database interactions.
• Work within a Linux environment, employing containerization tools like Docker to streamline development and deployment processes.
• Participate in regular code reviews, provide mentorship to junior developers, and promote best coding practices within the team.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal user experience.
