About The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of real estate transactions, including complex closings, acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing projects. As a key support member of our legal team, you will assist attorneys with all aspects of real estate law, ensuring smooth transaction processes from inception to completion. Your responsibilities will include preparing legal documents, conducting legal research, managing transaction timelines, and coordinating with various stakeholders such as title companies, lenders, brokers, and government agencies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate law, exceptional organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of experience as a real estate paralegal or in a similar legal support role within a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • In-depth knowledge of real estate law, including experience with complex closings, title surveys, and real estate transactions.
  • Proven ability to prepare and review legal documents such as contracts, deeds, leases, and consent resolutions.
  • Experience in managing real estate acquisitions, financing, and government review submissions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on clarity and precision.
  • Proficiency in legal research and report generation.
  • Proficiency in legal database software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Paralegal certification or equivalent qualification is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in all facets of real estate transactions, including drafting, reviewing, and managing documentation for acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing activities.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research on property laws, regulations, and relevant legal precedents to support transaction processes.
  • Prepare and review legal documents such as contracts, deeds, leases, and other related paperwork ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage and monitor transaction timelines, ensuring all critical deadlines are met from initial agreement to closing.
  • Coordinate complex closings by liaising with title companies, lenders, brokers, and other involved parties to facilitate smooth transaction execution.
  • Draft consent resolutions and prepare submissions for government review, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.
  • Review title commitments, survey reports, and exception documents; interface directly with title companies and surveyors to resolve issues or discrepancies.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of legal documents with relevant authorities and maintain the company's real estate document management system.
