Compliance & Legal Operations Specialist (AI Consulting)

We are looking to expand our team of expert consultants with 20 Compliance and Legal Operations Specialists for part-time, fully-remote work supporting frontier AI research. Projects pay $50--80 USD per hour, with higher rates for senior and specialized practitioners.

This role includes building original compliance and legal-operations tasks from scratch, spanning regulatory interpretation, policy and process questions, risk assessment, and controls review, stress-testing leading AI models on practice-level problems, and judging whether AI-generated work is accurate, properly sourced, and alert to regulatory, jurisdictional, and process risk.

Who We're Looking For

You are an experienced compliance or legal-operations professional who interprets regulations, builds and applies policies and processes, and assesses risk to a high standard. You can read a rule or requirement, apply it to a specific situation, and flag where claims are unsupported or where a process or document creates regulatory or operational risk.

Ideal backgrounds include:

• Compliance officers or analysts in financial services, healthcare, tech, or other regulated industries
• Regulatory affairs or policy specialists who interpret and apply rules and standards
• Legal operations professionals managing legal processes and workflows
• Privacy, AML/KYC, or risk-and-controls specialists

Minimum Qualifications

• Fluent English reading and writing skills
• Relevant compliance, regulatory, or legal-operations experience (industry certifications such as CAMS, CRCM, CIPP, or equivalent are a plus)
• 3+ years of compliance, regulatory, or legal-operations experience
• Track record of substantive compliance, policy, or legal-operations work
