About The Role

We're looking for aviation professionals and enthusiasts to help train and improve AI systems that understand real-world flight communications. You'll listen to and review authentic pilot-to-tower audio, helping AI accurately interpret the specialized language, terminology, and cadence of aviation communications.

This is a unique opportunity to apply your aviation knowledge in a cutting-edge field --- from the comfort of your own home, on your own schedule.

  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Fully Remote
  • Commitment: Flexible --- work as much or as little as you like

What You'll Do

  • Listen to and review real pilot-to-tower audio recordings for accuracy and clarity
  • Evaluate AI transcriptions and interpretations of aviation communications
  • Identify errors in terminology, phrasing, or procedural language
  • Annotate and flag communications that are unclear, incorrect, or misrepresented
  • Provide structured feedback to help AI better understand real-world aviation language
  • Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Who You Are

  • Background or experience in aviation --- pilots, air traffic controllers, aviation students, dispatchers, and enthusiasts are all welcome
  • Familiarity with standard aviation phraseology and pilot-to-tower communication protocols
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle errors
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
  • No prior AI or tech experience required

Nice to Have

  • Active or former pilot certificate (any category)
  • Experience as an air traffic controller or aviation radio operator
  • Familiarity with ICAO or FAA communication standards
  • Experience with aviation incident reporting or safety review processes

Why Join Us

  • Work on cutting-edge AI projects shaping the future of aviation technology
  • Fully remote and flexible --- work on your own schedule, from anywhere
  • Freelance autonomy with meaningful, real-world impact
  • Contribute to AI systems that could improve aviation safety and communication worldwide
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
