About The Role
What if your years of chemistry training could directly shape how AI reasons through the most complex scientific problems in the world? We're looking for Chemistry experts --- Masters and PhDs --- to design, solve, and evaluate advanced chemistry problems that push the boundaries of what AI can understand.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for working scientists, researchers, and academics who want to apply their expertise in a meaningful new direction. No prior AI experience needed --- just deep domain knowledge and a passion for scientific rigor.

What You'll Do
- Design and develop complex, real-world chemistry problems spanning organic, inorganic, physical, or computational chemistry
- Solve and critically review advanced problem sets to ensure scientific accuracy, depth, and clarity
- Apply computational tools and domain expertise to create challenging, nuanced problem statements
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to enhance AI model reasoning
- Uphold rigorous scientific standards across all deliverables --- from problem framing to final review
Who You Are
- Master's or PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field
- Deep expertise in organic, inorganic, physical, or computational chemistry
- Experienced with Python or computational chemistry software (e.g., Gaussian, VASP, or equivalent)
- Exceptionally clear written communicator --- you can explain complex science with precision
- Detail-oriented, methodical, and committed to scientific accuracy
- Fluent in English
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows
- Familiarity with AI tools or scientific benchmarking systems
- Background in academic research, peer review, or scientific publishing
- Experience working across multiple sub-disciplines of chemistry
