Job description
About The Role
Your public health expertise is more valuable than ever --- not just in clinics or policy offices, but at the frontier of artificial intelligence. Alignerr partners with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, safer AI models. We're looking for Masters in Public Health (MPH) graduates and public health professionals to help shape how AI understands and communicates health information.
This is a fully remote, flexible contractor role where your domain knowledge directly influences how millions of people will receive health guidance through AI systems.
What You'll Do
- Design Complex Health Scenarios --- Create advanced public health challenges involving disease outbreak simulations, health equity assessments, and interpretation of epidemiological and clinical trial data
- Author Gold-Standard Responses --- Write rigorous, evidence-based answers that synthesize peer-reviewed research, biostatistical reasoning, and current public health guidelines (CDC, WHO, and beyond)
- Audit AI Outputs --- Evaluate AI-generated health advice and policy recommendations for accuracy, bias, misinformation, and adherence to ethical standards
- Strengthen AI Reasoning --- Provide structured, expert feedback that helps AI distinguish correlation from causation, communicate health risks clearly, and serve diverse populations equitably
Who You Are
- Holds a Master's in Public Health (MPH), MSPH, or closely related graduate degree
- Strong foundational knowledge in at least two of: Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Environmental Health, or Health Policy
- Skilled at translating complex health data into clear, accurate, and culturally sensitive written communication
- Detail-oriented --- precise when checking statistical significance, data citations, and the logic behind health interventions
- No prior AI experience required --- we'll onboard you fully
Nice to Have
- Experience with data annotation, quality assurance, or evaluation systems
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as R, SAS, or Stata
- Background in health communication, clinical research coordination, or public health surveillance
Why Join Us
- Work directly with cutting-edge Large Language Models developed by top AI research labs
- Fully remote and asynchronous --- work on your own schedule, 10--40 hours/week
- Freelance flexibility: high autonomy, no micromanagement, global collaboration
- Make a real impact --- your expertise helps ensure AI gives accurate, equitable health information to people around the world
- Strong potential for ongoing contract renewals and expanded project involvement
