About The Role
We're looking for economists with public policy experience to help shape how AI understands and reasons about economic policy. Your expertise will directly influence the quality of AI-generated analysis on regulation, welfare, public programs, and applied economics --- work that matters at scale.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role powered by Alignerr and Labelbox, two leaders in AI training and data labeling.

- Commitment: 10--40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Review and evaluate AI-generated public policy questions, analyses, and economic explanations used in model training
- Assess the quality of economic reasoning across topics like regulation, market design, welfare policy, and public programs
- Provide clear, structured feedback to improve the accuracy, rigor, and real-world relevance of AI outputs
- Apply your applied economics background to validate scenarios, assumptions, and policy conclusions
- Work independently and asynchronously --- on your schedule, at your pace
Who You Are
- 3+ years of experience working or teaching in public policy, applied economics, or a related field
- Strong grasp of policy analysis frameworks and economic tradeoffs
- Ability to critically assess written economic arguments, models, and recommendations
- Comfortable providing detailed, constructive written feedback
- Self-motivated and reliable in an independent remote environment
Nice to Have
- Graduate degree in Economics, Public Policy, or a closely related discipline
- Background in government agencies, think tanks, academic research, or policy consulting
- Familiarity with AI systems or content evaluation workflows
