Software Developer – AI Code Quality Specialist

About The Role

We're looking for experienced software developers to evaluate, debug, and improve AI-generated code across a wide range of languages and problem types. Your engineering judgment will directly influence how the next generation of AI writes, structures, and reasons about software.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract --- work as much or as little as fits your schedule.

What You'll Do

• Review AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, security, and adherence to best practices
• Run, debug, and test code outputs across multiple programming languages
• Identify bugs, edge cases, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities
• Rewrite or refactor AI-generated solutions to meet production-quality standards
• Evaluate code architecture, readability, and documentation quality
• Provide clear, structured feedback that helps AI models learn to write better code
• Work independently and asynchronously --- no meetings, no fixed hours

Required: Who You Are

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Proficiency in at least 2 programming languages (Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, Go, Rust, TypeScript, or similar)
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
• Comfortable reading, running, and debugging unfamiliar code quickly
• Familiarity with version control, testing frameworks, and development tooling
• Clear written communication --- able to explain technical decisions concisely
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented

Nice to Have

• Experience with code review processes or mentoring junior developers
• Background in multiple programming paradigms (OOP, functional, scripting)
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts or experience evaluating LLM-generated code
• Full-stack, backend, or systems-level engineering experience
