Your hands-on knowledge of how security teams actually discover, prioritize, and remediate risk will directly shape how the next generation of AI understands cybersecurity.
This is a unique opportunity to put your practitioner expertise to work beyond the SOC --- influencing AI that will be used by security teams worldwide.

- Commitment: 10--40 hours/week
What You'll Do

- Classify severity, impact, exploitability, and appropriate remediation strategies
- Review and evaluate patching, mitigation, and risk decision-making scenarios for realism and accuracy
- Generate, label, and validate security-reasoning data used to train and benchmark AI systems
- Apply your real-world experience to distinguish between theoretical risk and what actually matters in production environments
Who You Are
- 2+ years of experience in vulnerability management, security operations, or infrastructure security
- Solid familiarity with CVEs, vulnerability scanners, patching workflows, and risk prioritization frameworks (e.g., CVSS, EPSS, SSVC)
- You understand the tradeoffs between textbook risk scores and operational reality
- A clear, structured, and analytical thinker who can communicate reasoning in writing
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on async, task-based assignments
Nice to Have
- Experience with tools like Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, or similar vulnerability management platforms
- Background in threat intelligence, red teaming, or penetration testing
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure security and container vulnerability management
- Prior experience working with AI training, data labeling, or technical content review
Why Join Us
- Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside the world's leading AI research labs
- Fully remote and flexible --- work on your own schedule
- Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
- Your security expertise creates a direct, lasting impact on how AI reasons about real-world risk
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
