As an Architectural Design Specialist, you'd help us create training data for a project with one of the world's top AI labs.

Your Role:

As an Architectural Design Specialist, you will apply your professional experience in architectural design and BIM modeling to help design, execute, and evaluate realistic architecture workflows. The core objective of this role is to translate real, day-to-day architectural reasoning into structured tasks and evaluations, enabling AI systems to learn how experienced architects model buildings with correct BIM semantics, produce coordinated drawings, and deliver IFC-compliant outputs.

Compensation:

• Compensation: $60-80/hour
• Commitment: 15-40 hours per week
• Type: Contract, part-time
• Location: Fully remote

What You'll Do:

• Execute tasks within BonsaiBIM to validate feasibility and establish ground-truth solutions
• Write detailed task specifications for architectural design and BIM workflows, including clear prompts, expected outputs, and grading criteria
• Design small-scale residential and light-commercial buildings with semantically correct IFC entities (walls, slabs, doors, windows, spaces) and produce coordinated plans, sections, and elevations
• Define grading rubrics that assess both technical execution (e.g., correct IFC entity types, drawing-to-model fidelity, IFC validation) and design judgment (e.g., spatial planning, circulation, daylighting, code plausibility)
• Provide clear, written documentation of your workflows, reasoning, and quality assessments

What We're Looking For:

We are specifically seeking experienced architects and architectural designers with strong BIM discipline and hands-on production experience.

Relevant Backgrounds:

• Proficiency and fluency with BonsaiBIM, Revit, ArchiCAD, or similar BIM tools
• Architects, architectural designers, or BIM specialists working in firms or independent practice
• Freelance architectural professionals with a portfolio of built or documented projects
• Hands-on experience with IFC-native modeling, multi-story coordination, and drawing production
• Familiarity with material/assembly systems and IFC export workflows
