- Salary/Payrate: $90K - $110K (flexible) + Excellent Benefits
- Work Environment: Hybrid (2 days WFH)
- Term: Permanent / Fulltime (35 hours/week)
- Reports to: Director of Marketing
- Education: Bachelor's degree required
- Referral Bonus: AMS will pay $500 for successful referrals
Position Overview
We are looking for an Events & Engagement Manager to lead event strategy that aligns with our firm's culture, values, strategic vision, and growth priorities. This role drives meaningful engagement with our firm's key people, including clients, prospects, industry partners, community organizations, and employees at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
Event Strategy
- Develop and execute a firmwide events and engagement strategy for internal and external audiences.
- Partner with practice group leaders and attorneys to identify and execute event opportunities that support business development.
- Partner with firm leaders to execute events promoting culture, equity and inclusion, education, wellbeing, and community service.
- Build measurable goals for events and develop ROI reporting structures.
Event Execution & Logistics
- Oversee external events, including conferences, trade shows, client partnerships, webinars, and networking events.
- Oversee internal events, including educational programs, social events, and holiday parties.
- Lead all aspects of event planning: venue sourcing, vendor management, contracts, timelines, run-of-show, and onsite execution.
- Manage catering, hospitality, AV/technology, speakers, guest lists, registrations, and materials.
- Prepare attorneys for speaking engagements and client events.
Marketing Integration
- Ensure on-brand positioning for the firm at third-party events.
- Work with attorneys to implement intentional event follow-up to convert opportunities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote events across website, social media, e-marketing, and intranet platforms.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of event planning experience, ideally in a professional services environment.
- Experience planning events for both external (clients, partners) and internal (employee) audiences.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple events simultaneously.
- Experience with budget management and vendor negotiation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with attorneys and staff.
Tech & Software Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with e-marketing and social media platforms.
- Familiarity with event management, attendance reporting, CRM platforms, and contact databases.
