Location and Terms
- Location: Boston, MA 02210
- Salary/Payrate: $70K-$95K annually + benefits
- Work Environment: Hybrid (2 days WFH)
- Term: Permanent / Full-time
- Referral Fee: $500 referral bonus available
Job Overview
Candidates must have iManage, CourtAlert, or similar software experience.
Responsibilities
- Review, interpret, and docket deadlines from incoming court notices and filings in CourtAlert.
- Calculate and calendar litigation deadlines based on applicable procedural rules.
- Maintain accurate case calendars and respond to case team requests for deadline calendaring.
- Monitor court activity and update docket entries and deadlines as needed.
- Work with the firm's West Coast docketing specialist to develop and standardize workflows and docketing practices across offices.
- Support centralization of certain electronic filing functions.
- Manage setup and maintenance of federal CM/ECF attorney accounts, including multifactor authentication.
- Ensure that docket entries and deadlines comply with applicable procedural rules and firm practices.
Qualifications
- BA/BS preferred.
- 3 years of work experience with litigation docketing or calendaring in a law firm or legal services environment.
- Familiarity with federal and state court rules, in particular California, Massachusetts, New York, and New Jersey (multi-jurisdiction experience is a plus).
- Experience with litigation docketing software (CourtAlert or similar systems preferred).
- Familiarity with federal CM/ECF filing systems and Massachusetts state eFiling.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret court notices and deadlines accurately.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage time-sensitive tasks.
- High degree of proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office, PDF tools (e.g., Kofax Power PDF Advanced), document management systems (e.g., iManage/FileSite), and database management/administration systems.
