Role Overview

In this contingent resource assignment, you will participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements within Information Security Engineering. This role involves reviewing and analyzing tactical security assignments, evaluating alternatives for low-to-medium risk deliverables, and presenting recommendations. You will exercise independent judgment while developing an understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide information security consultation to improve awareness and compliance with enterprise policies and standards.
  • Perform remediation of security assessment review issues and support information security risk management.
  • Analyze and respond to security incidents using SIEM/SOAR tools.
  • Conduct security control testing and consultation with stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and interpret internal information security policies and standards, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
  • Serve as a mentor to less experienced staff.
  • Identify and direct information asset portfolio reconciliations and certifications.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 1+ years of experience with Incident Response Protocols and Tools.
  • 1+ years of experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) products.
  • 1+ years of experience with Azure, Office 365, or other cloud technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) products.
  • Knowledge of security analytics, including incident response and digital forensics.
  • Understanding of data security controls such as malware protection, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and log management solutions.
  • Knowledge of the banking or financial services industry.
  • Experience with host and/or network log analysis as applied to incident response or threat hunting.
  • Certifications such as GIAC, OSCP, or cloud certifications (Google Cloud Platform, AWS).
  • Experience in a 24x7x365 global security operations center environment.

Work Environment

This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring two days in the office and allowing three days of remote work. The work schedule is Friday through Monday, from 10:30 AM to 8:30 PM Arizona Time.
