Location: 100% Remote Contract Length: 12+ months (contract to hire) Pay Rate: $50 - $55/hr. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM CST

Job Summary

Apex Systems seeks an RF Engineer for a Fortune 500 company. This role is responsible for the design, optimization, deployment, and performance of wireless networks (macro and small cell technologies). You will support the full RF lifecycle, ensuring compliance with technical, regulatory, and client standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform RF design and optimization for LTE/5G macro and small cell networks.
• Create search areas and support site selection for macro and small cell deployments.
• Conduct RF site walks and validate designs against field conditions.
• Produce and maintain RF Design Specifications (RFDS).
• Complete final RF designs and support construction handoff.
• Perform PCI/RSI planning for network enhancements.
• Support border frequency coordination (FS plots).
• Conduct RF Construction in Quality (CIQ) reviews.
• Prepare and submit E911 documentation and manage integration.
• Support regulatory and EME studies and submissions.
• Provide macro and small cell activation support, including post-launch checks and issue resolution.
• Perform off-cycle RFDS redesigns and resubmissions.
• Support zoning preparation and approval with RF exhibits and narratives.
• Provide RF engineering support for RFPs, including coverage predictions and capacity analysis.
• Conduct what-if analysis and accuracy updates.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Experience with RF tools (e.g., Atoll, Planet, Asset, iBwave).
• Familiarity with LTE and 5G NR technologies.
• Experience supporting large, multi-market or nationwide carrier programs.
• Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
