Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance high-quality, scalable software applications using the Microsoft technology stack
- Translate business and platform requirements into secure, reliable technical solutions
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
- Write clean, maintainable code aligned with best practices and coding standards
- Optimize performance using efficient data structures and algorithms
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex application issues
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship to peers
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, testing, middleware, and platform teams
- Lead small technical efforts while managing dependencies and delivery timelines
- Contribute to development standards, policies, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years of professional application or software development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with C#, ASP.NET Core/MVC, and the .NET ecosystem (Framework 4.x, .NET 6/8+)
- Experience building scalable applications, web services, microservices, and RESTful APIs
- Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization
- Proficiency with SQL Server, system integration, and third-party APIs
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git/GitHub, and Agile development practices
- Strong testing and debugging skills (unit and integration testing)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Experience using incident tracking, project management, and change control tools
Desired
- Exposure to or experience with mainframe technologies (COBOL, CICS, z/OS, AS/400, screen scraping)
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible
- Background developing applications within the financial services space
Compensation and Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $60.00 and $77.00 per hour. Please note that the final rate may be contingent on experience and other factors.
