Role Overview

Senior Systems Engineer, Imaging

  • Location: 100% Remote

Specific Skill Set Requirements

This team concentrates primarily on Imaging Systems for Radiology and Cardiology. Preferred candidates would have experience with systems in that family. Specifically:

  • DICOM standards
  • Medical technologies such as HL7, FHIR, and IHE
  • Cloud transformation (Cloud practitioner or experience with AWS/cloud technologies preferred)
  • PACS (Intelerad or any vendor)
  • Powerscribe and partnering vendor post-processing applications

Job Responsibilities

Senior System Engineers are responsible for research, architecture, design, installation, integration, support, and optimization on a wide variety of technologies as a part of the information technology infrastructure and application environment.

  • Designs and implements high-performing, highly available systems to meet functional and cost requirements.
  • Leads work on new project installations, system/infrastructure upgrades, and performance management.
  • Documents system scope, defines implementation procedures, and drives best practices.
  • Solves complex problems within the limitations of resource, process, and technology.
  • Provides guidance and training to less experienced systems engineers.

Essential Functions

  • Develops critical and non-critical systems based on customer specifications and budgets.
  • Takes ownership of technical risk assessment and system readiness.
  • Researches emerging technologies and system trends.
  • Provides technology leadership for project planning and execution.
  • Leads cross-functional teams to analyze system requirements and engineer solutions.
  • Manages operational support, including documentation and knowledge transfer.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves escalated incidents and problems.
  • Maintains knowledge of end-user devices, networking (TCP/IP, WINS, DNS, DHCP), Windows Server/Desktop, Enterprise Directories, storage, and databases.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Master's Degree or equivalent.
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in systems engineering, including the complete systems development lifecycle.
