Tax Manager

Aprio, a Top 20 CPA and advisory firm, is seeking a dynamic Tax Manager to join their Enterprise Tax team. With over 3,200 team members across 40 U.S. and international locations, Aprio offers a progressive and fast-growing environment with vast growth opportunities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a team of tax professionals, delegating tasks and overseeing their work.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies, staying current with tax laws and regulations to identify planning opportunities.
  • Provide consulting services to clients on tax-related issues, including mergers and acquisitions, tax planning, and corporate restructuring.
  • Conduct tax research to inform strategy development and planning.
  • Prepare and review client tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
  • Manage client relationships to ensure satisfaction with services.
  • Train and mentor team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Master's degree in Taxation preferred.
  • Recent experience in a public accounting firm.
  • 6 years of experience in federal tax consulting and/or compliance.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Experience with S-Corp, Partnership returns, Individual, and Corporate taxation.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in tax software and technology.
  • Proven team management experience.
  • Willingness to work a hybrid schedule (3 days/week) in the NYC office (Empire State Building).
