Risk Management Specialist - Remote

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Risk Management Specialist for a Remote position with a Leading Technology Firm located in Remote, USA. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.

This role focuses on executing comprehensive risk assessments within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of risk methodologies, collaborate with various stakeholders including product teams, and develop qualitative and quantitative risk reports to align with business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct risk assessments across various domains, including Financial, Operational, Compliance, and Strategic risk
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including product teams, to ensure risk assessments are aligned with business objectives
• Develop and recommend qualitative/quantitative risk assessment and risk weighting methodologies
• Complete Risk Assessments, including risk identification, analysis, and mitigation recommendations
• Create Risk Assessment Reporting, including data analysis, charts, graphics, and slide decks
• Provide risk assessment training and support for stakeholders
• Develop and maintain risk assessment documentation and procedures

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of experience in risk management
• Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and frameworks
• Ability to operate independently with minimal instruction
• Hands-on experience with executing risk assessments focusing on Independent / Enterprise Risk Management (e.g., documenting risks, reviewing actions plans and evidence, tracking mitigation, maintaining KRI/KPI, etc.)
• Experience with visual presentation of data and development of slide decks for risk reporting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex risk concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrate proactiveness and ownership on follow-ups

Desired skills:

• Fintech and technology companies risk management experience
• Experience working with product teams and understanding product development processes, with a focus on payment products and services
• Payments / Financial Services Industry Experience
• Knowledge of emerging technologies or Technical Programs (e.g., ChatGPT, Artificial intelligence (AI), Model Risk Management, AI Risk Management Framework / NIST)

Pay range up to: $112.58 per hour
