Job Description

Client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering Technology team. This role is focused on building and maintaining high-volume, web-based software applications that support client's strategic goals. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work collaboratively within a cross-functional team to design, develop, and modernize an Angular web application. Your work will span backend services, frontend user interfaces, and integrations with internal systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Angular Proficiency: Building and upgrading Angular applications with TypeScript, REST API integration, and developing rich UI functionality.
  • Framework Upgrades: Experience upgrading applications from older Angular framework versions to the current LTS version.
  • Development & Deployment: Proficiency with git, GitHub Enterprise, unit/integration/load testing, curl, Postman, troubleshooting enterprise API deployments, and containers.
  • Cloud Experience: AWS preferred, including automated provisioning, account management, serverless tooling, API creation, deployment, load balancing, and security.
  • Database Management: Experience with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB).
  • AI Integration: Experience with AI tools and an understanding of their operation, benefits, and drawbacks.
  • Methodologies: Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) and working knowledge of Agile or Lean principles.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years of experience in software engineering. Equivalent combinations include:

  • Master's degree and 2 years of experience.
  • Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience.
  • 8 years of experience in a related field.
