Job Description
The Inside Sales Specialist manages and grows a defined portfolio of accounts within a specific industry vertical, driving revenue through proactive outreach, consultative selling, and exceptional customer service. This role focuses on increasing sales, managing the full order lifecycle, and building strong, long-term relationships with customers while using CRM tools to track activity and performance. The position is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment and enjoys collaborating with a team.
Responsibilities
- Represent the brand professionally by managing and growing accounts within an assigned vertical industry.
- Increase sales and revenue within assigned accounts by identifying and pursuing new and add-on opportunities.
- Proactively engage the assigned customer base and consistently meet or exceed the designated number of outbound quality calls.
- Manage, track, and report sales activities and results using Salesforce and other account management tools.
- Understand and evaluate customer objectives, then recommend solutions that generate add-on sales opportunities.
- Support and help close the sales cycle, ensuring prompt and accurate order creation for business developed by Corporate Sales Outbound Account Executives.
- Manage all orders for assigned accounts from start to finish, serving as the dedicated resource and primary point of contact for the partnership.
- Apply strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to navigate complex customer situations and remove obstacles to closing business.
- Provide timely and accurate responses via email and other channels, and work assigned leads efficiently and thoroughly.
- Collaborate closely with teammates, sharing information and best practices while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
- Foster a culture of teamwork and accountability by contributing to team goals and supporting colleagues as needed.
- Learn and navigate multiple systems at once, including sales platforms, Salesforce, order entry tools, and Microsoft Excel.
Essential Skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Effective time management and organizational skills, including the ability to work quickly and meet a 24-hour service-level expectation.
- High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in order entry, customer information, and reporting.
- Experience in B2B sales and demonstrated sales acumen.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to handle ambiguous situations and tailor approaches to individual customer needs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including the use of Microsoft Excel for tracking and reporting.
- Ability to learn and navigate multiple systems simultaneously, including sales tools, Salesforce, order entry platforms, and Excel.
- Bachelor's degree or at least 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- 0--2 years of experience in sales, business development, or customer service.
- Strong desire to deliver best-in-class service and build lasting customer relationships.
- Highly motivated and results driven, with a positive, goal-oriented attitude.
- Ability to prioritize work effectively and meet deadlines consistently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Salesforce or another customer relationship management (CRM) system.
- Demonstrated ability to close deals and see the sales process through quickly and effectively.
- Understanding of the full sales cycle and prospecting strategies.
- Experience with customer retention and acquisition activities.
- Project management and/or coordination experience.
- Comfort working in ambiguous situations and approaching each customer scenario individually.
- Experience in sales support, account management, administrative support, sales administration, or inside sales roles.
Work Environment
This role is primarily remote, offering flexibility to work from home while supporting customers and internal teams virtually. Candidates in the Austin area are strongly preferred, as proximity may facilitate occasional in-person collaboration or meetings if needed. The position is structured as a rolling contract, initially set for approximately three months, with performance evaluations conducted monthly and/or quarterly to determine continuation. The work environment is fast-paced and goal-driven, with a strong emphasis on responsiveness, accuracy, and collaboration. You will work extensively with digital tools and systems, including Salesforce, order entry platforms, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Austin, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
