Senior Accountant
Location: Nashville Metro Area (Hybrid) Compensation: $80,000 -- $95,000 Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Opportunity
A fast-growing, PE-backed multi-site healthcare organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This role supports the full scope of accounting operations --- general ledger, financial reporting, month-end close, and audit support --- in a dynamic environment where acquisitions and operational expansion are constant. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving setting and brings both technical depth and a process improvement mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and analyze account balances for variances on a monthly basis
- Support the monthly and year-end financial statement close process, adhering to established close schedules
- Assist with accounts payable oversight and financial reporting processes across multiple entities
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with GAAP and other applicable regulatory standards
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, performance metrics, and management reports
- Support the annual budget process, including data compilation, variance analysis, and forecasting
- Participate in internal and external audit preparation, providing documentation and analysis as needed
- Partner cross-functionally with operations and leadership to improve financial processes and support organizational goals
- Identify and implement strategies to optimize accounting workflows, enhance internal controls, and improve operational efficiency
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Proficiency in NetSuite and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a multi-site or multi-entity healthcare environment
- Background in a PE-backed or high-growth organization with active M&A
- Experience supporting audit processes and implementing process improvements
- CPA or CPA candidate

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $45.67/hr.
