Senior Recruitment Consultant -- Financial Services (New York)

We're partnering with a globally established Financial Services recruitment firm that has built a reputation for deep market knowledge, long-term client relationships, and genuine consultant development.

Founded in 2011, the business operates across London, New York and Singapore, working with some of the most sophisticated institutional clients in the market. While global in reach, the firm has intentionally stayed boutique in size, creating a high-performance, low-politics environment where good recruiters are trusted to run their desk properly.

The New York office is the firm's best-performing location globally, delivering strong revenues with a small, senior team. This hire is driven by continued demand and live mandates, not backfill.

Your Role

You'll operate a true 360 desk, partnering closely with buy-side clients across:

  • Hedge Funds
  • Asset Managers
  • Private Credit firms

Core coverage includes Risk (credit & operational), Operations, Compliance, and Change & Transformation roles, typically at AVP to Director level. Average fees sit around $36k, with a predominantly permanent desk and a clear strategy to continue growing the contract side.

What They're Looking For

  • 2--7+ years' experience in Financial Services recruitment
  • Backgrounds in risk, operations, middle office or buy-side recruitment strongly preferred
  • Comfortable operating in institutional, relationship-led markets
  • Not a generalist tech recruiter and not payments-focused FinTech
  • Commercial, self-sufficient, and motivated by quality rather than volume
