Requirements

Must have:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a closely related discipline; equivalent practical experience accepted.
  • 3–7 years of experience in systems integration, software engineering, or a comparable technical function.
  • Hands-on experience designing and supporting API-driven integrations.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, webhooks, authentication approaches, and common data exchange standards.
  • Experience connecting external partner systems and operational platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • 3 years of Python experience.
  • 1 year of Azure experience.
  • 2 years of API experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with CRM platforms and operational workflows.
  • Interest in AI-enabled engineering tools, automation, and emerging technologies.
  • Familiarity with healthcare or other regulated environments.
  • Experience with healthcare data.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to keep learning and adapt as technologies evolve.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain API-based integrations between internal systems and external partners.
  • Support connections with phlebotomy networks, sponsor platforms, medical groups, CRM tools, and other operational systems.
  • Define integration needs, data mappings, and transformation rules.
  • Deliver integration work against agreed priorities and timelines.
  • Build and sustain secure, scalable API integrations.
  • Monitor API performance, reliability, and synchronization of data.
  • Investigate and resolve integration outages, mismatched data, and connectivity problems.
  • Ensure data exchange remains accurate and timely.
  • Support our AI-first technology strategy by using AI-enabled development and operational tools.
  • Identify opportunities to automate integration build, testing, monitoring, and support activities using AI-assisted solutions.
  • Evaluate new technologies and integration practices to strengthen scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Contribute practical recommendations for responsible use of AI across technical and operational workflows.
  • Monitor integration health and proactively address issues.
  • Reduce manual effort in integration-related processes.
  • Support both batch and real-time integration flows.
  • Coordinate issue resolution with internal teams and external partners.
  • Collaborate with Research Operations, Business Development, Technology, and external vendors.
  • Translate operational needs into technical integration solutions.
  • Coordinate testing, validation, and deployment with stakeholders.
  • Communicate integration status, dependencies, and risks clearly.
  • Ensure integrations meet internal security, access control, and compliance requirements.
  • Support audit readiness through thorough logging, traceability, and documentation.
  • Maintain documentation for API configurations, integration workflows, data mappings, error handling, and escalation procedures.
