Snowflake Technical Lead - Clinical Research Exp | Snowflake and DBT - Remote Contract Position

Role Description

This is a remote contract role for a Clinical Systems Integration, Technical Lead. The Technical Lead will oversee the integration of clinical systems, ensuring interoperability between various platforms and optimizing workflows. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, applying medical and technical expertise to facilitate effective system integration, troubleshooting, and ensuring data accuracy and compliance. The role will require excellent problem-solving skills and a focus on customer support to meet stakeholder needs and ensure successful project outcomes.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field with 10+ years of experience.

Strong hands-on experience with:

• Snowflake, DBT, SQL, data modeling, and ELT pipelines
• Experience working with Veeva CTMS or similar CTMS platforms
• Solid understanding of clinical trial processes and data standards

Clinical Systems Integration:

• Integrate data from clinical systems including, Veeva CTMS, EDC (Electronic Data Capture) systems, eTMF, RTSM/IRT, Safety systems
• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of scalable clinical data platforms
• Define best practices for data modeling, transformation, and governance
• Mentor data engineers and oversee code quality, performance, and standards
• Design and implement ELT pipelines using Snowflake and dbt
• Build reusable data models for clinical trial domains (study, site, subject, enrollment, monitoring)
• Optimize performance, cost, and scalability of Snowflake workloads
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., GxP, 21 CFR Part 11)
• Implement data lineage, auditability, and validation frameworks
• Collaborate with QA and validation teams for system compliance
