Summary
The Head of Client Relationships leads Aviation Portfolio's team of Directors, Client Relationships who own every client relationship at the firm. This is a player-coach leadership role accountable for the health of the entire client book: setting the standard for advisory quality, developing the team, and ensuring every portfolio is managed with the rigor and advocacy our clients require. The Head of Client Relationships steps in on the most complex or sensitive client situations, partners with executive leadership to shape how Aviation Portfolio serves its clients as the firm scales and drives client retention. Success looks like a high-performing team, durable client relationships, and consistently exceptional advocacy and service.
What you do
- Team Leadership: Develop, hire, and retain a team of Directors, Client Relationships. Set and maintain clear standards and hold the bar on service quality.
- Standards & Processes: Reinforce the playbooks, cadences, and quality controls that make exceptional client work repeatable.
- Escalation & Advocacy: Serve as a senior point of contact for high-stakes client matters and partner escalations that exceed an individual Director's scope.
- Executive Partnership: Report on client health, risks, and opportunities to executive leadership, and translate firm strategy into how the team operates day to day.
- Talent & Capacity Planning: Forecast staffing against a growing book, balance portfolio loads across the team, and plan for headcount as the firm scales.
What you bring
- Proven people leadership first and foremost: 3 years hiring, developing, and leading client-facing teams, built on 8 years in private aviation, wealth management, luxury hospitality, or a comparable client-advisory environment. Strong preference for private aviation background.
- A genuine passion for managing people, and a track record of building, developing, coaching, and retaining high-performing teams in a client-first culture.
- Strong commercial judgment, with real comfort owning retention, growth, and the numbers behind them.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex concepts for clients and executives alike.
- Direct experience operating in a remote, high-trust, and fast-paced environment.
- Salesforce or comparable CRM proficiency.

Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary based on experience and geographic location. This role is eligible for a performance bonus. Benefits include 401(k) matching with automatic vesting, medical and dental insurance, and paid time off.
