About the Role

Banner Health, a certified Great Place To Work®, is looking for a dedicated professional to join our high-volume Centralized Verification Office. This position supports the initial credentialing of providers for hospital membership and privileges, working with a dynamic team that supports 30 hospitals across 6 states.

Schedule: Generally Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm.

Location: This is a remote position for residents of Arizona or Colorado.


Position Summary

This role performs essential credentialing work in accordance with policies and procedures. You will obtain primary source information necessary for all organizational facilities and entities, while maintaining records and the integrity of highly confidential information.

Core Functions

  • Perform appropriate credentialing processes in a timely and complete manner.
  • Conduct analysis and follow-up, coordinating with physicians, facility staff, and professional office staff to acquire necessary information.
  • Perform accurate data entry to ensure database consistency and integrity.
  • Process queries for expired licensure or regulatory requirements and maintain documentation.
  • Exercise independent judgment in response to complex credentialing issues and maintain confidentiality.
  • Manage physician inquiries and keep supervisors apprised of issues.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in business or healthcare.
  • Three years of credentialing and/or process management and operations experience.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and medical staff organization.
  • Extensive knowledge of credentialing procedures.
  • Experience interacting with physicians, allied health professionals, and hospital personnel.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, data entry).
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • National Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (NCPCS) certification.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated Pay Range: $21.01 - $31.51 / hour
