Job description

BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Program Manager V (Compensation Programs) for a remote opportunity.

The Role

This is not a "status tracker" role — this is a frontline driver of a high-visibility compensation initiative. You'll sit at the intersection of business, HR, and engineering, bringing structure to ambiguity and momentum to complex, cross-functional work.

If you come from a strong consulting background and know how to walk into chaos, build a plan, align stakeholders, and deliver — this is your lane.

What You'll Actually Be Doing (Day-to-Day)

  • Own and drive the end-to-end project plan — timelines, dependencies, risks, everything.
  • Schedule and lead meetings independently — drive outcomes, not just discussions.
  • Partner across HR, Engineering, Compensation, and Business teams to keep everyone aligned.
  • Jump into issues as they arise — identify, escalate, and solve proactively.
  • Gather, refine, and document business + technical requirements.
  • Track progress, push accountability, and ensure deliverables don't slip.
  • Translate complex updates into clear, executive-ready communication.
  • Support testing cycles, readiness, and rollout activities.

What You Bring (Must-Have)

  • Experience from a Big 4 or top-tier consulting firm.
  • Strong Project / Program Management background (4–8 years ideal).
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability in requirements gathering & stakeholder alignment.
  • Working understanding of end-to-end compensation processes.
  • Experience driving cross-functional collaboration in fast-paced environments.

What You Can Learn (Teachable)

  • Compensation structures and frameworks.
  • End-to-end system workflows and internal tools.

Nice to Have (Bonus Points)

  • Exposure to Salesforce (Org62 or similar environments).
  • Experience working on M&A-related initiatives.
  • Prior work with large-scale enterprise transformations.

Logistics That Matter

  • Remote: Fully remote across the US.
  • Time Zones: Must be flexible to support EST or PST teams.
  • Interview Process: 2–3 rounds + possible assignment.
  • Hiring Timeline: Immediate / ASAP.
  • Extension: Strong potential for extension or full-time conversion.

What Success Looks Like

You're not waiting for direction — you're creating clarity, driving alignment, and delivering results. Teams rely on you because things move forward when you're involved.
