We're seeking an exceptional Senior or Staff Software Engineer to join this early-stage company at a pivotal growth moment. You'll own substantial portions of the product end-to-end, work directly with founders, and ship code that immediately impacts leading financial services organisations. Position Overview
This is a core product engineering role where you'll take ownership of significant features across the full technology stack. You'll integrate with external data providers, build intelligent agents that interact with customers, and ship production-ready code daily. Your work directly influences how banks and fintechs manage compliance risk, making this a high-leverage position where technical excellence translates to real business value and customer success.
Responsibilities
- Integrate with external data providers to enable seamless information flow within the platform
- Build and refine AI agents that interact intelligently with customers and compliance workflows
- Ship new features and improvements daily using Python, maintaining production quality standards
- Make rapid technical decisions in an environment where speed and pragmatism are valued
- Take calculated risks and experiment with emerging large language model capabilities
- Collaborate directly with founders and customers to understand problems and validate solutions
- Contribute to architectural decisions that shape the platform's scalability and performance
Requirements
- Proven proficiency building full-stack products from concept through production deployment
- Strong experience with Python and shipping production code at pace
- Pragmatic approach to engineering decisions, prioritising outcomes over perfection
- Genuine interest in large language models and their rapidly evolving capabilities
- Ability to discover customer problems through direct engagement and translate them into solutions
- Demonstrated sense of agency, ownership and urgency in driving projects forward
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and making decisions with incomplete information
