About The Role GrabJobs is seeking a highly skilled Front-End Developer Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our expanding team. This pivotal role involves leading the design, development, and implementation of user interface solutions for our enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical authority, guiding best practices in front-end architecture, accessibility, and responsive design. This position is remote, allowing candidates to work from their home office on EST hours, and requires U.S. Citizenship with an active Public Trust clearance. Qualifications The successful candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 10 years of experience as a front-end developer, with at least 7 years in a senior or SME capacity within government or enterprise projects, is required. Candidates must demonstrate extensive experience working with React, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and cloud environments such as AWS and Kubernetes. Certification in CompTIA Sec+ or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II is preferred. Additional certifications such as AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect, Certified Scrum Developer, and accessibility credentials like CPACC or WAS are advantageous. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable Public Trust investigation, including Tier 2 or Tier 4 security clearance levels depending on the role's responsibilities.

Responsibilities The Front-End Developer SME will serve as a technical leader, providing expert guidance on front-end architecture, frameworks, and accessibility standards. Responsibilities include designing and developing responsive, accessible, and user-centric web interfaces using React, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, ensuring compliance with federal standards such as USWDS, ODG, and WCAG 2.2 AA. The role involves conducting code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and collaborating closely with UI/UX designers, back-end engineers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable and reusable UI components. The SME will optimize front-end performance, ensure secure coding practices, and support API integration within CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools like GitHub Actions and Jenkins. Additionally, they will act as a liaison across teams during Agile development cycles, ensuring alignment with design, accessibility, and security requirements.
