Job Description

We are seeking a Business Development Leader for a successful business unit of a $10B aerospace manufacturer. This is a highly visible commercial leadership role focused on driving sales growth.

Hybrid work schedule; must reside in the greater Tulsa, OK area.

  • Support existing OEM/MRO customers with a heavy focus on generating new business across defense and commercial aerospace and aviation.
  • Existing customers include major aerospace OEMs, defense programs, and Tier 1 suppliers (military fixed wing, composites, fabricated structures).
  • Individual contributor role with the opportunity to build and scale the commercial function.
  • Vertically integrated build-to-print manufacturer of composite and metal bonding (doors, wing panels, landing gear, panels, flaps, etc.).

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Generate business opportunities with new and existing customers.
  • Maintain a constant flow of RFQs and RFPs for the sales pipeline.
  • Support estimating activities with customer follow-up on in-process and submitted quotes and proposals.
  • Establish a three-year strategic and tactical sales plan and forecast, with year-over-year growth targets.
  • Develop long-term strategic relationships across the customer organization, from buyers to decision-makers.
  • Develop customer-specific PowerPoint presentations and marketing materials in close collaboration with program and business development personnel.
  • Build Capture Plans for strategic target programs, part numbers, and customers.
  • Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote products and services.
  • Lead the sales process across multiple departments, with a focus on core competency programs and parts; provide market and target pricing inputs when available.
  • Maintain current awareness of industry intelligence, new programs, customer news, new technology, new requirements, and aircraft platform production rates.

Qualifications

Experience and Education

  • Minimum high school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of sales experience in aerospace manufacturing, with strong sales growth experience.
  • Familiarity with government and industry regulations and portals a plus, including FARs, DFARs, FAA, SAM, JCP, and similar.
  • Aerospace business development experience required.
  • Composite, metal fabrication, MRO, or government contract exposure preferred.
