Join Our Team as a Provider Information Specialist with Provider Operation Process Support!
Are you passionate about ensuring accuracy and efficiency in healthcare operations? BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee's Provider Operation Process Support team is looking for a detail-oriented Information Specialist to join our mission of improving healthcare access and affordability.
In this role, you will:
- Monitor and manage the Intake email bucket, ensuring timely review and appropriate action on incoming requests.
- Distribute incoming documents to the correct functional area, verifying attachments are complete and accurate.
- Attach and index documents in BPM to support provider applications and related workflows.
- Respond to email inquiries professionally and promptly, communicating effectively with both internal business partners and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong multitasking abilities and proficiency in using multiple applications.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with providers and internal teams.
- Back office or auditing experience.
- Experience reviewing Document Control Number/Electronic Claim Transaction Number

Job Responsibilities
- Administers, updates and maintains provider accounts and files.
- Additional responsibilities include; handling of both individual and departmental route groups (Workflow & Inventory Tracking) as well as system testing.
- Keying of accurate information into information systems in a timely manner.
- Participates as team player and advises management of issues adversely impacting the accurate loading and maintenance of provider information
Job Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
- 2 years - Experience in a provider-focused position; to include provider relations, support, operations or related experience, or experience with the military, or coursework towards a related degree.
Skills/Certifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
