Requirements

Must have:

  • Over 4 years of direct software engineering expertise at a mid to senior level
  • Proven track record in high-growth startups, adept at operating in lean environments without bureaucratic constraints
  • Strong knowledge of AI-native development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar platforms
  • Practical experience in building or configuring AI agents and automation systems
  • Capability to navigate unfamiliar codebases and independently devise effective solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Willingness to collaborate synchronously within Pacific Standard Time (PST) hours

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a technical audit of an emerging AI startups current codebase and infrastructure
  • Develop and execute scalable project workflows and documentation to facilitate team collaboration
  • Set up and enhance AI-assisted development environments (including Claude Code) for use by multiple contributors
  • Identify and fix complex bugs and system issues, pinpointing root causes and implementing long-lasting repairs
  • Provide guidance on technical architecture choices suited for early-stage, high-velocity product development
  • Offer continuous engineering support as new features and functionalities are prioritized across projects
