Are you a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Assistant looking to support mental health care in a fully virtual environment? Branch Behavioral Health Services (Branch BHS) is seeking a qualified contract-based Medical Assistant to join our growing team and support providers in delivering exceptional virtual psychiatric and behavioral health care.

Position Details
- Type: 1099 Contract
- Location: 100% Remote
- Schedule: Flexible (part-time hours, Monday--Friday)
- Pay: $15.00 per hour
Responsibilities Include
- Conducting virtual patient intake and follow-up communications
- Managing electronic health records (EHR) and uploading documents
- Coordinating lab orders, prescriptions, and prior authorizations
- Assisting with appointment scheduling and reminders
- Communicating with pharmacies, insurance providers, and patients
- Supporting providers with day-to-day administrative tasks
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- 5 years of CMA experience (Required)
- 1--2 years of experience in behavioral or mental health preferred
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., SimplePractice, CharmHealth, or similar)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable internet connection and HIPAA-compliant remote setup
- Two professional references required
- Criminal background check dated within the last six months required prior to onboarding
- Applicants must be able to complete all onboarding requirements within the specified timeframe
- Strong organizational skills, reliability, and independent follow-through are essential
