Compensation
- Salary Range: $105,000 to $115,000 per year base (potential flexibility based on experience)
- Performance Incentives: Annual bonuses of up to $30,000
About the Role
This is a terrific Major Gifts Officer position operating remotely in the South Florida area. The MGO will join the organization during an exciting period of growth, including a six-year, $100 MM fundraising campaign to support significant expansion of programmatic services throughout the state. The role will be integral in cultivating and soliciting major donors at the 5- and 6-figure level.
Responsibilities
- Provide moves management to a major gifts portfolio of 120-150 current and prospective donors, securing gifts of $10k+.
- Develop and grow the major gifts portfolio, including the elevation of existing donors to higher levels of giving.
- Utilize effective cultivation strategies and maintain consistent communication with donors.
- Provide donor stewardship, reporting, and proposals.
- Identify new prospects capable of giving major gifts and analyze giving trends.
- Manage giving societies and expand the donor base.
- Travel within the region to meet with donors and attend events.
Qualifications
- Approximately 3 - 5 years of relevant major gifts fundraising experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
- Demonstrated track record utilizing moves management strategies to secure 5- and 6-figure gifts.
- Self-starter with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to cultivate strong relationships with donors and prospects.
- Team player that works well in a collaborative organization.
- Mission-driven with the ability to convey the organization's mission to donors.
