Location: Ohio or Pittsburgh Areas (Primarily Remote)

Total Compensation: Up to $136,250 per year ($80,000 - $90,000 base + Bonus Potential + Benefits)

Role Overview

This is a terrific opportunity with a highly regarded national nonprofit. The Major Giving Officer will cultivate, solicit, and steward donors and prospects to grow the major giving portfolio within Western Pennsylvania and Ohio, focusing on donors with the capacity to give at the $25k+ level.

Responsibilities

  • Provide moves management to a portfolio of current and prospective donors, securing gifts of $25k+.
  • Develop and grow the regional major gifts portfolio through effective cultivation strategies.
  • Leverage wealth screening software and Salesforce CRM for fundraising initiatives.
  • Effectively communicate the organization's mission to funders.
  • Provide projections and reporting for the donor portfolio.
  • Travel to meet with donors and prospects as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5+ years of major gifts fundraising experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (additional experience considered in lieu of degree).
  • Experience with individual gifts and multi-year commitments.
  • Demonstrated track record using moves management to secure 5-figure gifts.
  • Strong business acumen and storytelling ability.
  • History of cultivating strong donor relationships.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work in a dispersed team.
