  • Salary: $100k - $150k
  • Employment Type: Full-time, direct W2 (no C2C, no 1099, no third-party)

This is a 100% remote, full-time, direct W2 position with Bright Vision Technologies. This role is part of our in-house Statement of Work (SOW) engagement. We do not engage in C2C, 1099, or third-party arrangements.

  • Sponsorship: No new H1B sponsorship available. H1B transfers are welcomed for qualified candidates.
  • Assessment: A technical coding assessment is mandatory.

Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned SAP Basis / SAP Platform Engineer responsible for the architecture, installation, configuration, performance tuning, and day-to-day operation of complex SAP landscapes that may span on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-hosted environments. This role is critical to keeping mission-critical SAP systems available, performant, secure, and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, install, configure, and operate SAP landscapes including S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, and other NetWeaver-based systems.
  • Administer SAP HANA databases—including installation, sizing, replication, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
  • Plan and execute SAP system copies, refreshes, and post-copy automation.
  • Lead SAP upgrades, EHP installations, Support Package application, and S/4HANA conversions.
  • Design and implement SAP migrations to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and SAP RISE/Grow environments.
  • Configure and operate high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions.
  • Implement and maintain SAP transport management strategies (ChaRM, CTS+).
  • Manage SAP user provisioning, role management, and audit support.
  • Monitor system performance using Solution Manager, Focused Run, and native HANA tools.
  • Develop automation scripts using Ansible, PowerShell, or Python.
  • Manage security notes, kernel patches, and database patches.
  • Provide 24x7 on-call support for production systems.
  • Document architecture and operations procedures.
  • Mentor junior Basis engineers.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of SAP Basis / platform engineering experience in large enterprise environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience administering SAP HANA databases in production.
  • Experience operating S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, and Solution Manager.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP migrations to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Strong experience with SAP upgrades, EHP/SP application, and system conversions.
  • Solid experience with SAP HA/DR strategies.
  • Working knowledge of SAP transport management and Solution Manager ChaRM.
  • Scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP certifications in HANA, S/4HANA, or Basis administration.
  • Experience with SAP RISE / Grow and SAP Cloud ALM.
  • Familiarity with SAP BTP and integration with hyperscaler-native services.
  • Exposure to infrastructure-as-code (Ansible, Terraform).
  • Experience operating regulated SAP workloads (SOX, GxP, PCI).
