Employment Terms & Visa Policy

This is a 100% remote, full-time, direct W2 position with Bright Vision Technologies. This role is part of our in-house Statement of Work (SOW) engagement. We do not engage in C2C, 1099, or third-party arrangements.

No new H1B sponsorship is available. However, candidates currently on a valid H1B visa requiring a transfer are welcome to apply. A technical coding assessment is mandatory.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP HANA Modeling and Performance Engineer to design, build, and optimize HANA-native data models and analytical objects supporting S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, and standalone HANA platforms. You will translate complex business requirements into performant models and serve as the go-to expert for diagnosing and resolving performance issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop performant calculation views, CDS views, AMDPs, and SQLScript procedures.
• Translate business requirements into well-structured HANA data models.
• Optimize complex queries, joins, and aggregations using partitioning, pruning, and parallelization.
• Lead HANA performance reviews and audits using tools like Plan Visualizer, ST04, ST05, and DBACOCKPIT.
• Implement security models, including analytic privileges, roles, and row-level security.
• Design and operate replication scenarios (SLT, SDI, SDA).
• Support data tiering using HANA Native Storage Extension and dynamic tiering.
• Build and maintain HANA-native applications consumed by Fiori, BW, and BTP services.
• Lead capacity planning and sizing.
• Collaborate with Basis, ABAP, and analytics teams.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
• Mentor junior developers on best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of SAP HANA development experience.
• Strong expertise with calculation views, CDS views, AMDPs, and SQLScript.
• Solid understanding of HANA architecture (in-memory, columnar, parallel execution).
• Hands-on experience with performance tuning tools and methodologies.
• Experience with replication tools (SLT, SDI, SDA).
• Working knowledge of HANA security models.
• Familiarity with S/4HANA embedded analytics or BW/4HANA.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP-certified HANA modeling or development credentials.
• Experience with HANA Native Storage Extension or dynamic tiering.
• Exposure to HANA Cloud and SAP Datasphere.
• Familiarity with BTP-based analytics (SAC).
• Experience with large-scale HANA migrations and upgrades.
