Summary
We're looking for a UI-focused Software Engineer to join our fully remote engineering team and help build the next generation of renewable energy software. You'll develop modern React applications, create intuitive user experiences, and build data-rich dashboards that support real engineering decisions.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys front-end development but also wants exposure to back-end technologies, AI-assisted development, and full-stack engineering over time.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop modern, responsive user interfaces using React and TypeScript
- Build reusable UI components, dashboards, forms, and data visualizations
- Translate product requirements into scalable, maintainable code
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and software engineers in an agile environment
- Integrate front-end applications with Node.js APIs and Python-based services
- Debug application issues and improve performance, usability, and accessibility
- Contribute to testing, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools while applying sound engineering principles
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Approximately 2+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong experience with React
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience building production web applications
- Familiarity with Git, pull requests, testing, and modern development workflows
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with Python or Node.js
- Experience working with REST APIs
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL or SQL databases
- Experience with authentication, UI forms, and testing frameworks
- Experience building dashboards, analytics platforms, or data visualization tools
- Familiarity with D3, Plotly, MUI X Charts, or similar visualization libraries
- Experience in renewable energy, engineering software, or AI-enabled applications
