About Us
WIR - that's over 400 SAP consultants and developers focusing on the latest SAP solutions and complementary products with cross-industry expertise across all processes: Procurement, Finance, Revenue Management/Billing, Human Resources, Production & Logistics, Customer Experience, Asset Management, and Business Analytics.
We are a full-service provider: From consulting and support to outsourcing and cloud orchestration, we offer our clients a holistic package of services tailored to their industries. We support every company individually in the transformation to SAP S/4HANA, always pushing for a complete migration to S/4. On the way there, we create acceptance and short-term successes for our clients by covering special departmental needs with suitable SAP products. Together, we pursue the goal of guiding our over 100 existing clients into the SAP S/4HANA world. The first ones have already migrated -- including DAX corporations and medium-sized companies from industry, energy providers, and public sector organizations.
Your Opportunity
This role offers you the opportunity to take your project management experience to the next level through our diverse range of energy industry projects. Whether it's SAP transformations, the introduction of our SAAS product for metering point operation, or the implementation of market-related or regulatory requirements in the systems of network operators and municipal utilities -- variety and challenges are guaranteed. You will work in a team characterized by strong methodological know-how in project and quality management combined with broad technical knowledge in the energy sector, enabling us to successfully manage and support projects both organizationally and technically.
What to Expect
- You will be part of our 10-person team, distributed across multiple BTC locations, with consultants and project managers focusing on energy industry projects.
- In your role, you will lead one or more external IT projects in parallel, ranging from smaller projects with 5 people to large-scale projects with up to 20 internal and external project participants and a duration of up to 2 years, e.g., conception and implementation for the switch from SAP IS-U to S/4HANA Utilities.
- You will be adaptable in applying the methodological project management standards for the respective client project, able to use PMI elements as well as agile standards, and base your methodology choice on the project type and client preference.
- Depending on the project size, you will handle administrative tasks yourself, such as time tracking, or be supported by a Project Management Office (PMO) for commercial project execution.
- You will use state-of-the-art technologies and methods as needed to promote collaboration among distributed project teams, e.g., MIRO, MS Teams, MS Surface Hub, Planner, OneNote, Jira.
What You Bring
- At least 3 years of professional experience as an IT Project Manager in the energy industry.
- Confident use of methods in both classic and agile project management, e.g., according to PMI, GPM, PRINCE2, or Scrum.
- Ability and methodological know-how (e.g., RACI) to communicate target-group-oriented, optimally lead stakeholders at the client's site, and actively resolve conflict situations.
- Sense of responsibility for your role and the drive to take initiative and gather information independently.
- Willingness to learn for methodological and technical further training (e.g., SAP Activate, DevOps tools, energy industry processes) to adapt your skills to new client requirements or market developments.
- Willingness to travel throughout Germany for on-site client assignments (average 1-2 days/week).
- Very good German language skills and at least good English skills, both written and spoken.
What We Offer
-
Onboarding remotely and on-site in all relevant BTC processes and tools to successfully manage a project, including support from an experienced colleague from your team.
-
Optimally assembled project teams through cross-departmental and tool-supported resource management.
-
Trust-based working hours with 40 hours/week, 30 days of vacation.
