The Opportunity
We're looking for a Business Development Team Lead to own and grow our West Coast marketplace across Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, and emerging West Coast markets. This person will be both a deal-maker and a team builder; someone who thrives on relationships, understands the live events ecosystem, and is excited to scale a high-performing BD team.

While Bucket Listers is a remote-first company, this position will require the candidate to maintain residence in Los Angeles, San Diego, or San Francisco (or within reasonable commuting distance).
In this role, you will:
- Identify, develop, and build long-term relationships with partners across the events and experiences industry.
- Become the expert and true owner of your markets and/or verticals within our marketplace.
- Proactively source event producers, venue operators, and experiential creators to bring new inventory onto BucketListers.com.
- Develop exclusive content or ticketing partnerships unique to Bucket Listers.
- Understand and confidently pitch flat-fee media and marketing packages to brands.
- Learn and understand various ticketing systems to clearly articulate seamless integrations and partner workflows.
- Manage, mentor, and develop the West Coast Business Development team.
- Provide insight and feedback to improve our lead generation and sales processes.
- Serve as a strategic resource for partners, ensuring long-term success and retention.
- Provide leadership, accountability, and coaching to drive performance.
- Set clear targets, track KPIs, and foster a culture of ownership and results.
- Help shape the regional strategy in partnership with company leadership.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, ticketing, media sales, or experiential marketing.
- Strong understanding of the West Coast live events landscape.
- Proven negotiator who can structure win-win revenue share deals.
- Experience managing and mentoring a team.
- Comfortable pitching both performance-based ticket deals and flat-fee media packages.
- Highly organized and fluent in CRM usage.
- Entrepreneurial mindset --- you think like an owner.
- Clear communicator who builds trust quickly.
- Data-driven but relationship-first.
