About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a private investment platform and family office seeking an ambitious accounting professional to join a lean, entrepreneurial team supporting a diverse portfolio of investments across private real estate, private credit, venture capital, public equities, and operating businesses.
This is not a traditional corporate accounting role.
You'll work directly alongside executive leadership, gaining exposure well beyond the monthly close. From investment operations and treasury to multi-entity accounting and financial reporting, you'll have the opportunity to develop into a broader finance and operations leader over time.
We're looking for someone who enjoys learning, taking ownership, and building processes in a fast-moving environment where every day is different.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own the month-end close across multiple legal entities
- Prepare financial statements and management reporting packages
- Perform general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and intercompany accounting
- Coordinate with external CPA firms and tax advisors on tax filings and compliance
- Support cash management, banking relationships, and wire activity
- Track capital calls, distributions, and investment activity across the portfolio
- Assist with new investment closings, entity formations, and operational documentation
- Help improve accounting processes, reporting, and internal controls as the platform continues to grow
- Partner directly with senior leadership on a wide variety of finance and operational initiatives
What We're Looking For
Experience
- 2--5 years of accounting experience
- Public accounting experience or experience with multi-entity accounting preferred
- CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred
- Exposure to private investments, real estate, fund accounting, or family office environments is a plus
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities
