Sr. Network Engineer with healthcare industry experience - remote with 30% travel to sites around the US

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer with extensive experience in network and systems engineering to lead IT upgrades within the healthcare industry. This role requires a blend of program management skills and a strong engineering background. You will be responsible for establishing technical governance, standards, policies, and procedures, and collaborating with vendors on upgrade implementations. Prior experience in human or veterinary care is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT upgrade initiatives in hospital settings.
• Establish technical governance, standards, policies, and procedures.
• Work with vendors on the implementation of IT upgrades.
• Manage IT upgrade projects, providing governance and oversight.

Requirements

• Significant experience in network and systems engineering.
• Experience with SD-WAN and Networking.
• Ability to work with telecommunications providers (Telcos).
• Experience with workstation deployment for upgrades.
• Experience with standards for configuration of IT asset deployment.
• Proficiency in governance and oversight of IT upgrade projects.

Travel

• Approximately 30% travel required, initially heavier and then decreasing. Travel will be to various sites across the US.
