Role Overview

We're looking for a Head of Growth (or strong growth IC) to own account management and growth execution across a portfolio of 8 startup accounts end to end. You'll work directly with the founders, identify what resources and tools are needed to run these accounts at scale, and build organic-led growth strategies from the ground up. This is a builder role --- not a playbook executor.

What you will do in the first 90 days

  • Own 8 portfolio accounts end to end --- think of them as 8 startup clients you're fully responsible for
  • Identify the team support, budget, and tools needed to run those accounts well
  • Develop a POV on what engineering should build to help scale account management
  • Form your own judgment on what to automate vs. keep manual (requires real awareness of agentic tools)
  • Get 8 organic-led growth strategies live --- affiliates, content, and distribution

What you will do ongoing

  • Portfolio Management: Own growth for multiple accounts simultaneously, driving step-change results across each
  • Organic Growth Execution: Build and launch affiliate and content-led campaigns that generate sustainable traction
  • Growth Infrastructure: Wire up the tools, workflows, and automations needed to scale without proportionally scaling headcount
  • Engineering Collaboration: Develop and communicate a POV on what to build vs. buy vs. automate
  • AI-Native Operations: Use agentic tools not just to prompt, but to build workflows, wire up agents, and ship growth tooling

What we are looking for

  • 2 years of growth experience, pre-seed to series D
  • Quantitative proof of growth impact --- a portfolio or track record that shows the step change you drove
  • Reputation as a top operator in your network --- if we ran references, your peers would name you unprompted
  • Grit: the kind of person who pushes things into existence and doesn't let work die
  • AI fluency beyond prompting --- evidence of building workflows, wiring up agents, or shipping tools (not just using Claude or ChatGPT)
  • Experience managing multiple workstreams or accounts in parallel, not just a single growth channel
  • Organic growth chops: affiliates, content, SEO/AEO, community --- and the ability to build from scratch

Compensation

  • Hybrid position in San Francisco
  • Salary range: 140-220K USD base plus benefits plus equity.
