ABOUT THE ROLE
Careerscape is supporting a client opening for a Remote Entry-Level Payroll Specialist. This role focuses on processing payroll, maintaining employee compensation records, ensuring payroll accuracy, and supporting payroll-related operations.

The Payroll Specialist will work closely with HR, finance teams, and employees to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.

COMPENSATION
The salary range for this role is $95,000 - $140,000 per year, based on experience, organizational skills, analytical abilities, and client hiring needs.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Process employee payroll accurately and on schedule
- Maintain payroll records and employee compensation data
- Review timesheets and payroll documentation
- Assist with payroll audits and compliance activities
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries
- Update payroll systems and employee information
- Prepare payroll reports and summaries
- Coordinate with HR and finance teams
- Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
- Support tax and deduction processing activities
- Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies
- Assist with special projects and administrative tasks
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- 0-2 years of experience in administration, finance, customer service, or support roles
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
- Comfortable working with numbers and confidential information
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Professional, dependable, and results-oriented mindset

- Administrative or office support experience
- Payroll or accounting internship experience
- Familiarity with payroll software systems
- Data entry and reporting experience
