Role Overview

We are hiring a Strategic Partnerships Director (L4) to help CareMessage build, manage, and scale a high-value partner ecosystem across the healthcare safety-net. This is a senior individual contributor role for a partnership operator who has built partner ecosystems, managed growth through partners, negotiated complex partner agreements, and converted relationships into measurable pipeline, revenue, product leverage, and mission-aligned impact.

This person will focus on partnerships that affect distribution, customer acquisition, expansion, pricing, packaging, partner-led ARR, integration readiness, sponsored programs, market intelligence, and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Management: Own CareMessage's growth-enabling partnership portfolio across partner type, strategic objective, business-line impact, operating model, economics, risk, owner, and next step.
  • Operational Excellence: Operationalize the Partnerships Playbook, including partner taxonomy, selection principles, gating model, partnership briefs, decision rights, QBRs, scorecards, and sunset criteria.
  • Strategic Execution: Source, evaluate, develop, negotiate, and manage partnerships that create market access, partner-sourced pipeline, partner-led ARR, referrals, co-sell opportunities, sponsored programs, and customer expansion.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, Customer Experience, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Strategy, and Marketing to ensure alignment on roadmap impact, integration scope, and commercial terms.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor partner movement, platform ecosystems, payer/VBC dynamics, and EHR marketplaces to translate signals into practical GTM strategy recommendations.
  • Scaling Operations: Use AI, automation, CRM, and partner relationship management tools to scale operations, synthesize market signals, and reduce manual coordination.

What Success Looks Like

  • Partner-sourced qualified pipeline created and partner-influenced ARR.
  • Quality and completeness of partner portfolio tracker, briefs, mutual plans, and QBRs.
  • Reduction in ambiguous ownership, unscoped commitments, and roadmap drag.
  • Effective use of AI and automation to scale partner management.

Onboarding Milestones

  • 30 Days: Learn, map, and diagnose the current ecosystem and commercial model.
  • 60 Days: Structure, prioritize, and activate priority partnerships and internal operating cadences.
  • 90 Days: Convert, institutionalize, and scale, including publishing a 6-12 month partnership roadmap.

Benefits

  • Flexible work hours as a fully remote team.
  • Half-day Fridays.
  • Generous medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and their families.
  • Health Savings Accounts and Flexible Spending Accounts.
  • 401k retirement plan.
  • Short & long-term disability insurance.
  • Paid parental leave for biological and adopted children.
  • 9 wellness days for self-care.
  • Paid time off & 1-month paid sabbatical after the 4-year anniversary.
  • 15 paid company holidays, plus mid-year and end-of-year breaks.
  • Employee Assistance Program.
  • Budget for professional and personal development.
