About Carrum

At Carrum, we are dedicated to transforming the healthcare system to provide an exceptional patient experience. We are passionate about eliminating surprise bills, improving quality, and reducing costs within an entrepreneurial and innovative environment. Since our inception in 2014, Carrum has redefined the Centers of Excellence (COE) category in digital health. Today, 90% of the US population has access to a Carrum COE, and our providers consistently rank among the top 10% nationally. Our success has been recognized by the venture capital community, securing over $96M in funding from investors such as OMERS, Tiger Global Management, and Wildcat Ventures. Our impact has been validated by a 2021 RAND Corporation study and highlighted in a Harvard Business School (HBS) case study.

The Role

As we expand our team focused on implementing and managing enterprise clients, we are seeking an Associate Client Success Manager. This hybrid role is designed for a high-potential professional eager for independent responsibility while benefiting from the mentorship of experienced leaders.

Reporting to the Director of Client Success, you will manage a dual mandate: providing high-leverage support to our Senior Client Success Managers (CSMs) on complex, "household name" enterprise accounts, and taking full ownership of a dedicated book of mid-market clients. This is an opportunity to manage the entire client lifecycle, from implementation handoff to renewal, contributing to the growth of a leading digital health company.

The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $90,000 plus commission, depending on geography and experience level, plus equity and an annual bonus.

Your Impact

You will:

  • Own Your Book of Business: Act as the primary point of contact and relationship owner for a segment of employer clients, ensuring their satisfaction, retention, and successful adoption of the Carrum platform.
  • Support Enterprise Growth: Assist Senior CSMs with our largest and most complex accounts, contributing to high-level strategy and ensuring flawless tactical execution of account plans.
  • Drive Member Engagement: Collaborate with Carrum's Marketing team to execute effective communications, including benefits rollouts, email campaigns, and events, to maximize employee utilization of Carrum benefits.
  • Master Data Insights: Prepare and present client performance reports, identifying utilization trends and providing actionable recommendations to help employers maximize the value of our COE network.
  • Ensure Operational Excellence: Manage essential account functions, including tracking contract renewals, processing payments, and identifying opportunities to streamline internal workflows.
  • Be the Voice of the Customer: Work with Sales, Operations, and Technology teams to relay client feedback, influencing our future product roadmap.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with:

  • 1-3 years of experience in client success, account management, or project management (healthcare or SaaS experience is a strong plus).
  • Client-Facing Confidence: Ability to lead meetings, manage expectations, and build rapport with HR and Benefits leaders.
  • Exceptional Execution: Strong attention to detail and organization, with a proactive approach to anticipating client needs.
  • Analytical Ability: Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools, with the capability to interpret data and explain its impact on a client's bottom line.
  • Resilience & Ambition: Thrives in fast-paced, early-stage environments, comfortable with ambiguity, and eager for growth and increased responsibility.
  • Communication Prowess: Clear and concise communication skills across various mediums (presentations, email, instant messaging).
  • Mission-Driven: A strong passion for making healthcare more affordable and consumer-centric.

Why You'll Love Working With Us

  • Impactful Work: Join a dedicated team focused on solving critical healthcare challenges. Collaborate with talented professionals from diverse backgrounds and leading companies. We value data-driven decisions, technological innovation, and creative problem-solving.
  • Esteemed Partnerships: Work with renowned organizations, including top hospitals like Johns Hopkins, Mayo Clinic, and Stanford Health Care, and major employers such as US Foods and United Airlines.
  • Empowerment & Collaboration: Experience an autonomous work environment with strong support and constructive feedback. We encourage authenticity and mutual support.
  • Vibrant Culture: Enjoy a culture that celebrates successes and fosters fun. As a remote-first company with offices in San Francisco and Chicago, we offer flexible working hours, generous time off, paid parental leave, and opportunities for connection.
  • Diversity & Inclusion: We embrace diversity of thought and experience, actively supporting this through our employee-led DEIJ committee and employee resource groups (ERGs).
  • Meaningful Contribution: Feel proud knowing your daily work directly and positively impacts people's lives.

Additional Benefits

  • Stock option plan
  • Flexible schedules and remote work options
  • Office locations in Chicago and San Francisco
  • Self-managed vacation days (within reason)
  • Paid parental leave
  • Comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance
  • 401K retirement plan
